Play Time

Me and my baby brother Charlie have been making some play time this morning with some of our Merry Christmas toys. We decided to take a short break and sit nicely on the sofa. We are a most handsome duo.........

Merry Christmas

It has been such a most exciting Merry Christmas day today that we did not even remember to take the pictures during the present opening or tasty treat eating. Merry Christmas is most definitely my favorite day of the year. I think that it is probably by baby brother Charlie's too. First we wake up....most early because we were excited.....and go to the Old Man and Old Lady's house where my mommy Tasha was waiting for us. We opened the presents which was most exciting. There were lots and lots of new toys, new doggy games and tasty treats. The girl, who is here from the Idaho, bought us all new beds. Then it was time for the Merry Christmas breakfast. I am happy to report that apparently on Merry Christmas you are not allowed to be on the diet because I got lots of tasty treats today. I was certainly most pleased by this happening. Then we come home to our house and make a little nap time. Once we woke up we had lots more play time with all our new toys......please see the picture. I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas like we did!!!!

Weight Loss Update

I am happy to report that I am continuing to feel well and I have lost another 1/2 pound. No, I did not meet my goal these 2 weeks, but it was the Thanksgiving, and even us dieters need to have the turkey.....right. Now I am back on my strict diet for my next weigh-in. As you can see by my resting and relaxing picture with my baby brother Charlie, my waistline is slimming. I will continue my efforts as the beach house vacation is coming up in a short 51 days and I want to be able to run, play and have vacation tasty treats, so I will work hard at this time. I will update again on my weight loss efforts in 2 weeks.

Biggest Loser Update

Today I go the dogtor for my Biggest-Loser weigh-in. My goal for the last 2 weeks was to lose 1.5 pounds. I am happy to report that I did achieve this goal. I must say also, that even though you would not think it possible for me to be any more handsome, with my ongoing weight lose my move star good-looks are just being further enhanced..... I will have another Biggest-Loser update in 2 weeks.

My Mommy is A-Visitin'

My mommy Tasha is staying with us for a few days. Her old-man is in the hospital getting a brand new knee. Apparently they do not allow dogs at his hospital so she has to stay here. We like it when she come to visit......

Pugs the Magic Dragons

Even though we did not get to go to the Pugfest for the costume contest, we still got to wear our most excellent Halloween costumes. We call ourselves Pugs...The Magic Dragons. Me and my baby brother Charlie are most handsome dragons!!!!

Home From the Hospital

I, Wonka, am home from the most excellent UGA Veterinary Hospital. As you can see I am okay and still exceptionally good-looking. I have had some problems for a couple years with my right front leg being painful. It would sometimes cause me to limp. The dogtor's thought I was probably pulling a muscle because despite the fact that I have been a little round I still act and play like a younger, slimmer puppy, and sometime I would probably jump and climb on things that maybe I should not. Last week I began to have very, very, very bad pain in my leg and it make me cry. Friday night I got some pain in my neck and so my humans, because they love me so, decided it was time to go the Hospital. They were most nice there. They feed me, scratch my head and take me to the potty. I did not really care so much for the accommodations or the menu plan but the people were most nice. Many dogtors examine me and they took many pictures of my innards......and they say I am a "stumper" which I think is a reference to not being sure what is wrong, and not my body shape. Apparently the dogtors think, from some of my innards x-rays that I have a condition called the bulging disk. They give me some medicine which is fine because it fits in a tasty pill pocket, but then the bad instructions came.....I cannot go outside and play and run. I cannot climb down or up the stairs, and I most definitely cannot jump off things like the furniture or the bed. I cannot wrestle with my baby brother for 3 whole months, AND I must cut back on the tasty treats. I am finally on that most horrible thing, the diet.....ugh. I did miss the Pugfest which made me sad because we had most excellent costumes....but we will save them for next year. I have to go back to the dogtor on the 14th for my "Biggest Loser" weigh-in. I will update more then.

A Message From Me Charlie

It has been most sad here. My big brother Wonka has been in the hospital. We did not get to go to the Pugfest on Saturday because of this which was most unfortunate because of our outstanding costumes, but it is much more important for my big brother to get better. My brother Wonka had to go the most excellent hospital at the University of Georgia on Friday night. He has been having some problems with a bum right leg and they are not sure why so he has been taken there for the tests. It is most lonely here for me and white floofy dog without our brother Wonka but we know he needs to get all better. We will update more later.

Me, Wonka, being the most excellent big brother that I am, have instructed Charlie on the proper napping position for a pug. I am happy to report that, as you can see, my baby brother Charlie is a most quick learner!

PUGFEST......YEAH

I just know it is almost time for the Pugfest again, and I am most excited. I have put up a picture of me from the very 1st Pugfest I attended when I was a wee pup (yes I was most handsome even then!)and I had my pictures done. Pugfest is held every year by SEPRA, a great organization that helps lost pugs find their way home (just like my baby brother Charlie.) It is a giant party where all my people come for tasty treats, contests and to go shopping. I know it is almost time because yesterday my lady come home with the radickalus costumes again. I would be very deesgusted but I know that this means it is almost time for the Pugfest. We had to try the costumes on for the alteration. My baby brother has a costume too. (He was not very happy about this.) I will not give away my costume secrets but will have pictures of the fun to post after the Pugfest on October 29, 2011. Me and My Brothers Again

This is our barky chair. We like to sit in this chair and make barky and howly noises out the window, 'specially if someone comes by, 'specially if it is a doggy friend 'cause they might want to come play with us. As I am a most excellent big brother I have been teaching my baby brother Charlie how this is done :)

HAPPY SATURDAY

Today has been most enjoyable so far. My Mommy Tasha is here a-visiting because her Old Man and Old Lady went somewhere called the New Jersey.......We have made some playtime this morning (Mommy Tasha even joined in) and now we are enjoying a rest time with our Nylabones. I am most excited for tomorrow because we will be going to one of my most favorite park locations which will include some creek time and swimming in the small creek puddle.....I will probably have to teach my baby brother how to swim because I am a most excellent swimmer. I will update more tomorrow.......

Nap Time

Me and my baby brother Charlie have been playing with this Christmas giraffe this morning. I had to tell my baby brother it was time for a nap. Our lady is doing the work so me and Charlie laid down for a nap next to her chair. I decided I would lay by Charlie's bed in the hopes that he would actually stay in there and take a nap. I didn't even mind that he decided to lay his head on my hiney as long as we could get a little night-night in......

Football Day

Well, today I have to explain Football Day to my baby brother Charlie. My humans seem to like Football Day but me and my brothers do not really like it so much. On Football Day the humans just watch a lot of the TV, and they also seem to talk and yell to the TV a lot which is something not normally done. What it means for me and my brothers is that we don't get so much attention. We don't get to go to the park and we don't spend much time in the tasty treat room. So instead we get up on the big blue chair and make barky noises at the things we see outside, and sometimes we take a nap. Football Day this year is much better than in the past, though, because I have my baby brother Charlie and he likes to make lots of playtime, so even though our humans are being bad we can still play together.

Wrestle Time

Fun time is continuing here at my house with my new baby brother Charlie. Today we have already had much play time, including several wrestling matches. I have to go play Tug-of-War now with our new rabbit squeeky toy.

Nap Time

After several days of repeated instruction I finally got my baby brother Charlie to make some nap time, which has been severely lacking in our daily routine of recent. Then our lady came in the room and make the "awwwwww" noise and next thing I knew she was a snappin' a picture. Well of course that wake my baby brother Charlie up and nap time was over. I am not very happy with our lady right now........

WHEW...This Big Brother Stuff is Tiring

This Big Brother stuff is exhausting. I think today I might take a rest break from all this teaching. My baby brother Charlie is exhausting. Not only do I need to teach him many things, but I also have to work in many play sessions throughout the day and frankly he is much smaller....I mean younger than me. I know it is my duty as the big brother to press on. Some of the areas we are currently addressing include:

*No chewing on the furniture.

*No eating of the rolls of toilet paper.

*No stealing of the dinners out of your brother's bowl if you eat all your dinners first.

*Tasty treats are to be dispensed in order of age and my baby brother Charlie has not figured out yet that this means he is 3rd in line.

*I also keep explainin' it is best to stay out of the shower. I keep trying and trying to explain this but maybe Charlie likes the shower. That seems odd. However, when the lady get into the shower Charlie keeps jumping in too. I do not understand this phenomenon.

These are but a few things I am currently working on. I am, however, happy to report that my baby brother Charlie seems to be quite smart in addition to being exceptionally handsome (which is important in view of my own movie star good looks), and we are having a very fun time......

Me and My Little Brother Charlie

I'm sorry it took a whole day to blog but it has been most exciting here. My new baby brother Charlie is here and I have much to teach him. He got here last night and I had to show him around. I had to show him where we play and make the potty outside, where we get the dinner and the tasty treats, where we beg for more tasty treats, where we make barky noises out the window, and I definitely had to show him the bad room that we try to avoid because it is where we get the bad bath and nail trim. This morning our lessons continued. I had to take my baby brother Charlie outside for the morning walk in the neighborhood. (My baby brother Charlie is most fast and nimble. My humans say it is because he is skinny and I am well not so skinny but I'm sure the real reason is that Charlie is not even 2 years old yet....right. However, my baby brother is very-very handsome so maybe I will try to lose a few pounds to improve my already tremendous good looks....) Then when we got back inside we had lots and lots of play time. We make the wrestle and we have the fetch the squeeky toy game, and we also play the tug of war game. My baby brother Charlie have lots of energy. Usually everyone says I have too much energy but geesh....they obviously have not met my baby brother. So now I am taking a rest to do my blog because later my Mommy Tasha and her humans are coming over for the "Welcome Home" party for my baby brother Charlie. I will blog more soon, but for now I must take a nap.

This is my baby brother Charlie. He is sittin' in that boy Brian's lap helping him drive here to our house to be with me. He used to stay in Missourri but now he lives in Georgia....and he is a most excellent driver because they got here all safe and sound.

2 MORE NIGHT-NIGHTS

I am so deesgusted, 'cause this is taking so long. Two more night-nights may not seem like that many but it sure does seem like it is taking forever for my new baby brother to get her. Well, in the morning my lady and one of my boys, the one named Brian, are leaving to go pick up my baby brother Charlie. It is going to take them a WHOLE night-night to do this apparently. I asked if I could go with them, and I even promised to be a very, very, very good boy but for some reason they don't seem too receptive to this. I'm sure it's just because they don't want me to leave my white floofy dog alone and has absolutely nothing to do with me being any kind of trouble on the car ride.......:). So I guess I just have to sit here and w-a-i-t.....I'm not very good at that........

Just 3 more night-nights until my baby brother Charlie gets here! I have my favorite Christmas giraffe all ready for him to play with me. It will be great and glorious!

Charlie Is A-Comin'

I just about cannot contain my excitement about my new baby brother Charlie. I know it is still 4 more night-nights until he gets here but I'm already a-lookin' for him. I wish it was not takin' so long but I am tryin' to be a good patient boy..........

Unbelievable GREAT and Glorious News!!

I am super most excited. This is Charlie. We found out from some nice people that Charlie did not have a house or his own humans to live with anymore and he was looking for a new family. I said to myself "Hey"... and then told my humans, "My name is Wonka. Every Wonka should have a Charlie....right?!", and since my white floofy dog is getting older and doesn't want to wrestle with me anymore I really have been wanting a baby brother to play with. So this seemed like it was meant to be and I am happy to report that soon Charlie will be here and I will have my very own new baby brother. (Charlie is only 2 so I will be the big brother because I am 5.) I can just about not contain my excitement at this prospect. It is all so most exciting. I will update further soon.....and hmmmmmm perhaps I should now look for baby sisters named Oompa and Loompa, or Veruca and Violet!!!!!

Great & Glorious Vacation News

I am most excited. Me, my white floofy dog, my mommy Tasha and all my humans are going to make the vacation again. This time we will be making the vacation somewhere called the beach. Now I have never been to the beach before. I'm told it is the most great and glorious puddle of them all....and since I am a most excellent swimmer I am most excited. Apparently, unlike the puddle I used to have in my old house in the backyard, this puddle has a very large fish called a shark in it who apparently likes to eat things, especially if you look like a big seal tasty treat. I think I should maybe try to be a little slimmer before the vacation to avoid appearing like this morsal. I cannot wait to go on the vacation even though it is still many night-nights away, and I am already most excited. I am posting a picture of my new beach vacation house and I will update again soon....

P.S. I did not know about my new baby brother Charlie when I made this vacation post, but of course my new baby brother Charlie will get to go on the vacation too. I must probably need to teach him to be a most excellent swimmer just like me.

My Girl Moved Again

Well today my girl, she move again. When I first came to Georgia from my birth home in Arkansas I stayed with my girl. First we live in Tallahassee, and then we moved to Athens. Then one day my girl she dropped me off at my lady's house and well I've been here ever since. My girl moved to Austria and apparently they do not have houses in Austria because she did not take me there. Then she move to Rome where they must not have houses either. Now she is moving somewhere called the Idaho. I'm told they have potatoes there but I guess not houses. That's okay. I don't really like vegetables anyway. She comes to visit and brings me presents sometimes and maybe one day I can visit her in the Idaho, but well I like living with my humans and my white fluffy dog Yukon here in Georgia. If I moved away now my white fluffy dog would be devastated, and besides, my birth mommy Tasha (who lives with my old man and old lady)would be so sad if she did not get to see me all the time.......she loves me so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !!!!

Today was a most great and glorious day. Today we celebrated my 5th birthday (my actual birthday is not for 4 more days but today was my birthday-day celebration). The Old Man and the Old Lady came over with my mommy Tasha (who remembers my birthday fondly of course), and then you would not believe who else came to my party....Willy! Willy lives across the street from my Old Man and I have been playing with Willy since I was a wee pup. Willy brought his girl Abigail too and she pet my head which was nice. I was most excited to see everyone. Then the festivities began. My house was decorated most nice with Happy Birthday decor. I didn't even mind wearing the radickalus party hat. While all my humans ate we doggies ran and played. My friend Willy, who is just a little guy, liked to play with my big white floofy dog Yukon....I think because they are both white floofy dogs. Then we had presents. My favorite present was the little red light stick that makes the red light run across the floor....that is one of my favorite games, and my previous light stick broke so I was most excited to see this one. I got new toys too. Then we had great and glorious cake. I do love the great and glorious birthday cake. It was truly wonderful. Me and all my doggy friends also got doggy goody bags with a toy and lots of homemade tasty treats. Things were definitely done right on my birthday. I Am The Geo-Pug Dog

Today was most entertaining. My humans took me out to do the geocaching. Now, today, instead of hunting for the little treasure box, we actually placed a little treasure box of goodies for other people to find. We named this treasure box, Wonka Walks Here, after me of course :). We traveled by car to my favorite area park and then went on to one of my favorite trails and we searched until we found a most excellent hiding place. Now it was almost 80 degrees here still at 6:00 PM and my dogtor has recommended I not be out when it is most hot, but I took some breaks and had my water bottle so I did just fine. It was a most enjoyable evening and I'm so glad my humans are finally doing things right.

Oh yes, incidently, my 5-year-old birthday is next week. I'm getting most excited.

My Window Seat Dilemma

Well my human lady has come up with a viable option for my window seat dilemma; however, I feel I must blog about the injustice I believe is going on. My human lady has to do the work during the day. Now I don't really care for this work because it means she cannot play with me all day. However, she tells me if she do not do the work she cannot buy me the tasty treats so I feel I must allow her to do some of this work. So while she works I would like to look out the window so I can at least see the fun things I would like to make the pee pee on. But despite that whole dogtor problem of saying I am "too big", I am really just a little guy and I cannot see out of the window on my own. I have looked at the store for a seat to place in the window for my enjoyment but unfortunately these are all in the catty section, and even worse most say that you cannot weight more than 25 pounds. This is radickalous. Where are the doggy window seats that will hold my roundness? Why is this preferential treatment being given to the catty? While my human lady has made a seat with a stool and some extra cushions for my enjoyment I still feel that this favoritism being shown the catty is not right. Surely somebody can make the appropriate DOGGY window seat for my enjoyment. I must continue my search.
